Meets:

Competitions are scheduled on weekends, including Fridays! We will not receive exact days and times until the week of the competition. Please be aware of the scratch dates on the schedule and if you cannot attend a meet, email elitegymteam.meets@gmail.com ASAP. An email is the only way a scratch will be accepted this year. Do NOT tell someone at the front office or a coach. They will advise you to send an email. If you do not scratch, you will still need to pay the meet fee since we have entered and paid for each gymnast months in advance so we do not get closed out of a meet. If you are not sure if you will be able to attend, we suggest scratching from the meet and we will try to get your child in at the last minute, no guarantees.

USAIGC competitors are required to attend 3 meets at minimum to qualify for states. However, your child should attend every meet to get the practice and gain experience.

USAIGC Elite policy for 1st year Copper competitors and Specializing gymnasts are as follows:

Competitions are in house ONLY or the coaches’ discretion.

Coaches will let you know when they are prepared to start competing

Clean routines get the best score; the coach will choose the skills that are appropriate for each gymnast.

General:

PARENTS ARE NOT PERMTTED TO STAY FOR THE ENTIRE PRACTICE

There are NO make-ups for team members. Please let your coaches know if you cannot attend a practice.

Feel free to take advantage of private lessons and clinics if you feel your child is falling behind.

We suggest purchasing the Parent’s Guide to Competitive Gymnastics at the front desk.

CALLING OR TEXTING COACHES IS NOT PERMITTED, please contact coaches via email or call the Elite Office.

***Please keep in mind that this is an individual sport and every gymnast progresses at different levels***

If you have any questions or concerns please remember to speak to your coaches directly, they are always happy to explain your child’s progress and goals with you.
